DES MOINES, Iowa– The Iowa Department of Public Health released brand-new COVID-19 information Wednesday.IDPH reports 64 additional COVID-19 deaths in the last 7 days. The statewide overall is now 6,401 since the start of the pandemic.
IDPH reports the 14-day positivity rate is up from 8.9% to 9.1%. Only 7% of those hospitalized are in that age range.The health department reports 578 Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19, up from 549 on Monday. State information reveals 78.3% of those hospitalized with COVID-19 are not completely vaccinated, while 87.3% of those listed in intensive care are not totally vaccinated.Iowa reports 3,374,538 vaccine doses administered in the state, with 64.8% of those 18 and older fully vaccinated.
