Patrons at Portsmouth bar might have been exposed to COVID-19, health officials say

State health officials say individuals who were seated at a bar at a Portsmouth restaurant late last month and earlier this month may have been exposed to COVID-19. The Department of Health and Human Services says a person with a verified case of COVID-19 might have exposed patrons at the bar at Jumpin Jays Fish Café during the following days and times: Wednesday, Sept. 30, in between 5 and 9 p.m.Thursday, Oct. 1, between 5 and 9 p.m.Friday, Oct. 2, between 5 and 10 p.m.Saturday, Oct. 3, between 5 and 10 p.m.Sunday, Oct. 4, in between 5 and 9 p.m.DHHS says it has already informed people understood to be close contacts to the individual, but there may have been additional people at the bar during those durations who were exposed. Anyone who was at the bar during those times is asked to call DHHS at 603-271-4496. A posting on the restaurants site on Sunday said it is temporarily closed.DHHS has guidance for self-quarantine published here.

The Department of Health and Human Services says an individual with a confirmed case of COVID-19 might have exposed customers at the bar at Jumpin Jays Fish Café throughout the list below days and times:

Wednesday, Sept. 30, in between 5 and 9 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 1, in between 5 and 9 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 2, in between 5 and 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 3, between 5 and 10 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 4, between 5 and 9 p.m.

DHHS says it has currently informed individuals understood to be close contacts to the individual, however there might have been additional individuals at the bar during those periods who were exposed. Anyone who was at the bar throughout those times is asked to call DHHS at 603-271-4496.
A posting on the dining establishments website on Sunday said it is momentarily closed.
