The fall opening of colleges: Upheaval, pandemic weirdness and a vulnerable stability

When the academic year started, Gettysburg College looked well-positioned to weather the tumult of the coronavirus pandemic and Arizona State University appeared vulnerable.
The private liberal arts college in Pennsylvania planned meticulously for the arrival of more than 2,200 trainees to its small-town school in August, vowing to check them all for the unique coronavirus and do its utmost to secure public health while mentor as much as possible in individual.
The public university in Arizona confronted the steep challenge of squelching infection hazards on numerous schools in the Phoenix area as it delivered a mix of face-to-face and online instruction to 74,000 students. Whats more, the infection rose across Arizona throughout the summer and made the state among the countrys most worrisome locations.
Gettysburgs opening collapsed, while Arizona States held up.
